Aloker Jharnadharay

As a part of observation of the silver jubilee year of CDL (in 2005), CDL has been arranging various program activities to celebrate this landmark event. On this occasion, CDL has brought out a special publication, entitled Aloker Jharnadharay (In the stream of light). In the beginning of 2005. The book included articles written by development workers, intellectuals, patrons and well-wishers of CDL, CDL staff members, etc. to express their feelings about CDL. This book has generated considerable interest in the development sector and has been widely shared with development activists, CDL’s national and international network partners, media and individuals and organizations involved with CDL activities all over the country.

Thorny Path

Essays on contemporary issues Mohiuddin Ahmad. May 2004. The book presents some issues that echo concerns of many individuals and groups. Some issues are local, some are regional and some are global. The first one, Birth of a Nation-State, has been included to familiarize this who do not know much about how Bangladesh came into being. While preparing this anthology, all the essays have been revised and updated. In all the essays, aspects of distress, deprivation, despair, demonstration and defiance have surfaced in the hindsight that delineates the real world where we live.

Ei Deshe Ekdin Juddha Hoyechilo

This book is personal memoir as an impartial observation of the war of independence of Bangladesh that took place in 1971. The author Mohiuddin Ahmad describes various events leading to and following our great war of independence. Children’s Boundary

It is a joint publication by CDL, CPD (Community Participation and Development) and Save the Children, Denmark. The book is an honest attempt towards unraveling the state of children’s rights in Bangladesh with a view to ensure a brighter and better future for them.
